Steve Moore 74, of the West Louisville community in Daviess County, Kentucky passed away Thursday, October 3, 2024 at his home. Stephen Lee Moore was born December 23, 1949 in Daviess County to the late Reamus Griffith and Margaret Juanita Whistle Moore and was married to the former Jo Anna Carter on August 30, 1975.
Steve retired as a truck driver from Howard Rock in Calhoun, earlier worked at Green Coal Company and was a member of Calhoun Christian Church. After retirement, Steve started working on and repairing lawn mowers. He loved traveling and was always up for a road trip. He also enjoyed spending time with both his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his brother, James Moore and by a sister, Beverly Johnson.
Steve is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jo Anna Moore; a son, Stephen Moore, Jr. (Billie Jean) of Bowling Green; two daughters, Amy Hayden (Nathan) and Crystal Clark (Jeffrey) both of Owensboro; six grandchildren, Vincent Daniel, Colin Daniel, Peyton Clark, Hope Hayden, Austin Hayden, and Junior Moore; a sister, Brenda Wedding of Owensboro; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 P.M. Monday, October 7, 2024 at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Steve’s family from 11:30 A.M. until 3:30 P.M. Monday at Musters in Calhoun.
