Charles “Dwight” Koger, 71, formerly of Owensboro, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Cathedral Health Care in Jasper, Indiana. He was born July 12, 1953 in Daviess County to the late Charles Ryan “Brooks” Koger and Maybelle Lear Koger. Dwight worked for Boilermakers Local 40 and Millwright Local 1080. He enjoyed horse racing and watching his grandson, Charlie III, race go carts. Dwight loved spending time with his grandkids and his bulldog, Chopper, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by sons, Ryan Koger (Mandy) and Stevie Koger (Dana Biggs); daughter, Karah Koger; grandkids, Alyssa Koger (Jared Payne), Charlie Koger III, McKynlee Koger, Kayson McKay, and Kyliee White; great-grandchild, Liam Payne; brothers, Mike Koger (Donna), David Koger (Sylvia), and Donnie Koger; sister, Linda Sallee (Ronnie); and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation is from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 4, 2024 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory with a prayer service at 2:00 p.m.
