Timothy Robert Jackson, 54, of Lewisport, passed away Friday, August 16, 2024. He was born to Linda Bumm Jackson in Owensboro on February 7, 1970.
Tim was a true enthusiast of life’s adventures. He lived life with an unmatched zest, whether it was shooting guns, revving up cars and motorcycles, or finding new ways to aggravate his family and friends with a mischievous grin. His heart, as big as his personality, was always open to helping anyone in need, embodying a generosity that touched all who knew him. With a great sense of humor for stirring up fun, Tim, also known as “The Big Kahuna” or “Action Jackson” could light up any room and bring a smile to anyone’s face.
Tim is preceded in death by his brother Tommy Jackson and his father-in-law Herman Kellems.
Along with his mother, Linda Bumm Jackson, Tim is survived by his wife Janie Jackson; his children Hannah Jackson, Codie (Zachary) Nelson, and Lauren (Matthew & Pearl) Kellems; his siblings Tammy (Ed) Mattingly, Terra Crabtree, Tisha Warren, and Tyrone (Michelle) Jackson; best friend Barry Dennis; along with an abundance of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his family and many friends, he was blessed with his faithful companions Arlo and Bullet.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until the time of the service at the funeral home.
