Denver Ray Peters, 93, of Owensboro, died on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Owensboro Center. He was born November 27, 1925 in Daviess County to the late Howard and Beualah Varble Peters. He retired after 22 years as the custodian at Yellow Creek Baptist Church and was a US Navy Veteran serving during World War II.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Evelyn Peters in 2002; his brothers, Buddy, Billy, and Bobby Peters; sisters, Reba Locher and Mary Ruth Crabtree; a nephew, Tommy Locher; two nieces, Brenda Thompson and Beverly Erwin.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday in the chapel at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation is from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
