Ella Mae Haynes, age 91 of Mt. Washington, KY passed away July 27, 2024, at Glen Ridge Health Campus in Louisville, KY. She was born in Hardinsburg, KY on June 2, 1933, daughter of the late Irene Edmonson and Glen Nash, Sr. She was a member of Mt. Washington United Methodist Church and retired from Enro Shirt Company.
Ella Mae was very active and independent until a few weeks prior to her death. She spent time reading, sewing, crocheting, gardening and canning. She and her late husband enjoyed traveling out west and vacations to the beaches of Florida. Her family was very important and she looked forward to visits with them.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth and siblings Glen, Jr., LeSieur, Joe, Robert and Birdie.
Ella Mae is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law: Leo and Janet Haynes and Barry and Linda Haynes of Mt. Washington, KY
6 grandchildren: Chris Haynes, Chad Haynes, Brad (Misty) Haynes, Brittany (Bobby) Hayes, Carla (Steve) McCann and Debbie (Tyson) Ziegler
10 great grandchildren: Nicholas, Megan and Gavin Haynes; Noah Hayes; Shane Heil; Zack, Josh, Hailey and Annalise Ziegler and T.J. McCann.

Funeral services will be held at Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at 11 AM with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Tuesday, 4-8 PM and Wednesday, 8:30 – 10:15 AM. All times are central.
