Jack M. Bowlds, 94, of Owensboro, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2024 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born March 21, 1930 in Daviess County to the late Herman and Ruby Varble Bowlds. Jack was a U.S. Army veteran and worked for Whirlpool for 29 years. He enjoyed woodworking.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Williams; and a brother, Herman Bowlds, Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Elsie Bowlds; sons, Jeff Bowlds (Diane), Jack Bowlds Jr., and John Layson (Sharon); daughters, Julia Schaber (Joe) and Janie Conkright; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 12 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2024 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Tom Pelphrey officiating. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
