Loraine Elizabeth Purgailis, 87, of Owensboro formerly of Grand Rapids, Michigan passed away Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Signature Healthcare at Hillcrest. Born March 14, 1932 in Grand Rapids to the late Leonard Moser and Gladys Eurbis Moser. Loraine was a very outgoing and winsome person which suited her vocation as a hostess well. She loved to crochett, knit, and cook. Loraine also enjoyed traveling and spending time outdoors.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Purgailis also was preceded in death by her husband, Ivars Purgailis and brothers, Cleon, Keith, and Gail Moser.
Those left to cherish her memory include three sons, Ray Scholtens (Suzanne) and Jack Scholtens (Deborah) of Ludington, Michigan and Richard Scholtens (Linda) of Owensboro, Kentucky; brother, Ray Moser of Grand Rapids; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A private burial in — Cemetery will take place at a later date for the family of Loraine Purgailis.
