Ronald L. Royal, 74, of Owensboro passed away on July 5, 2024, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in Owensboro on November 7, 1949, to the late Clarence and Elizabeth Higdon Royal. Ronald served in the United States Marine Corps and the United States Navy and was a Vietnam War Veteran. Ronald was a longtime member of the AMVETS. He was patriotic and respected all veterans. Ronald enjoyed dancing, horseracing, and watching UK sports and NASCAR.
Ronald is survived by his son Christopher Conley; three grandchildren; his brothers Terry (Brenda) Royal and Gary (Nennie) Austin; along with several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
