Shirley Pearson Gower, 89, of Owensboro, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born on April 23, 1935 in Daviess County to the late Letcher Eugene and Maudie Everly Drewry. She had worked as a server at Gabe’s Restaurant and was a member of Buena Vista Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack Pearson, James Condra and Boyd Gower; brother, Letcher ‘Bill’ Drewry; and a great-grandchild, Keela Jo Brown.
Survivors include her daughters, Diane Crutcher Pearson, Debbie Moorman (DD), Kathy Grigsby (Rick), and Rose Cheff; son, James Carlos Pearson; 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; six siblings; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Rose Marie.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Entombment will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday and from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
