Bonnie Sue Grey, 82, of Drakesboro, died Friday, June 14, 2024 at her home. Bonnie was born October 5, 1941 in Joplin, Missouri. She was married for 66 years to the love of her life, Thomas Grey. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church of Drakesboro. Her favorite pastime was reading her bible, cooking and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Nathalee Smith and siblings.
Bonnie spent her entire adult life traveling across the United States wherever her husband’s job took them. During those years of traveling, she never met a stranger and took every opportunity to share the love of Christ with everyone she met. She was a great prayer warrior. For many years Bonnie would send over 200 Christmas cards along with a personal note to all who touched her life. Her sweet and feisty personality was a joy to all.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas P. Grey; daughters, Sherri (Wendell) Miller, and Kerri (Garland) Pryor; grandchildren, Wendy (Jon) Wilson, Amy (Ryan) Fugate, Bryan (Amy) Pryor, Brittany (Thomas) Pogue; great-grandchildren, Jordan Wilson, Caroline Wilson, Claire Pogue, Kade Pogue, Kolt Pogue, Riley Pryor, Xander Pryor, Sydaleigh McGregor, Chase Fugate, Layne Fugate; sisters-in-law, Marguerite Grey, Beth (Jerry) Malter and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday, June 17, 2024 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church of Drakesboro with Bro. Curtis McGehee officiating. Burial in Ebenezer Cemetery.
