Janice H. Pugh

Janice H. Pugh, 90, of Owensboro, died on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Owensboro Center. She was born January 19, 1929 in Evansville, Indiana to the late Bennett and Grace Hulsey Higgs. She was a homemaker and a charter member of Owensboro Christian Church. Janice was an Owensboro Area Quilt member and a UK fan.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Robert Pugh in August 2009; daughter, Kathy McCarty; brother, Donald Higgs; sisters, Betty Higgs, Esther Youngman and Mildred Hames; and a grandson, Derek Kindle.

Survivors include her son, Robert R. Pugh, Jr. (Elizabeth) of Owensboro; daughter, Lee Ann Edmonson (Dean), of Utica; grandchildren, Chad Kindle (Melissa), Joshua Edmonson, and Marley Edmonson Sumner (Jeffrey); great-grandchildren, Callie, Gracie and Riley Kindle; son-in-law, Pat McCarty; and sister-in-law, Carol Higgs.

Services will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 31, 2019 in the chapel at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Private burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation is from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank Owensboro Center for their love and care of Janice for the last three years.
