
Jerry Huff, 68, of Owensboro, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2019 at home with family and the care of Hospice of Western KY. Son of the late Chester and Lou Ellen Huff, Jerry was born on July 9, 1950 in Fordsville, KY.
He had managed Diamond Lakes, worked most of his life as a pawn broker. After retirement, he worked security at the Judicial Center and worked at Home Depot, where he made many friends with co-workers and customers. Jerry lived each day to the fullest, never met a stranger and had a huge sense of humor. He enjoyed coaching youth baseball, cooking , watching westerns, fishing, golfing and traveling covering most states and six countries. He was a Kentucky Colonel and had various certificates related to his jobs. He attended Faith Fellowship and St. Stephens Catholic Church.
Mr. Huff was preceded in death by his siblings; Maxine Mayfield, Judy Williams, Betty Riley, Jessie Huff, infant Bobby Huff and his furry pal, Satchel.
Those left to honor the memory of Jerry include his wife of 46 years, Barbara Huff; a son, Rick (Roxana) Webb; daughter, Terri (John) Hendon; grandchildren, April (Greg) Ferguson, Kayli Webb, his #1 grandson, Dylan Webb and Tamara (Rowdy) Bostick; great-grandchildren, Trevor, Ariel, A.J., and Jordan Ferguson and Gracie Bostick; brother, James (Diann) Huff, of Wilmington, N.C.; sister, Brenda (Marvin) Ferguson, of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, April 1, 2019 at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory.
