Jeffery Lynn “Tree Monkey” Martin, 63, of Owensboro, passed away June 6, 2024, under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. Jeffery was born December 2, 1960, in Owensboro, to the late Joe and Delilah Daughtery Martin. Jeffery owned and operated Martin’s Tree Service and Martin’s Towing.
Jeffery loved animals and loved dirt racing. He also served as a volunteer firefighter for some time.
Along with his parents, Jeffery was preceded in death by his sister, Donna.
Jeffery is survived by his wife, Angela Boudrie Martin; children, Joshua Lynn Martin (Sheray Michael) and Misty Dawn Bailey (Scott Riggs); grandchildren, Emilee Martin, Baylee Martin, Hagen Bailey, Gunner Bailey, and Kynleigh Bailey; siblings, Charlotte Martin (Tiny) Parks, Rick Martin, Sr., Terrance (Julia) Martin, and Robert Daniel Shelton; two special nephews, Michael (Melissa) Martin and Aaron (Courtney) Shelton; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial to follow at Rosehill-Elmwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., on Monday, June 10, 2024, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory and again on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
