Evelyn “Nini” Jean McDaniel Sheldon, 86, of Bowling Green, passed away in the comfort of her home surrounded by her children on June 7, 2024. She was born in Evansville, IN on April 6, 1938, to the late Paul F. and Altha Jewell McDaniel where she was the oldest to all of her siblings. She attended Broadway United Methodist Church in Bowling Green. Nini enjoyed cooking and sharing recipes. She had a passion for serving the community. There was never a family reunion, it was always a community gathering.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Darrell Richmond Sheldon.
Nini is survived by her children Debbie Wells of Reynolds Station, Steve (Terri) Sheldon of Bowling Green, Rick (Sue) Sheldon of Prior Lake, MN; her grandchildren Jennie Shourds, Kathy Lewis, Ryan Sheldon, David Wells, Seth Sheldon, Spence Sheldon, Seaton Sheldon, Taylor Sheldon, Terra Murphy and; her great-grandchildren Luke Shourds, Hannah Lewis, Isaac Shourds, Jackson Lewis, Sarah Grace Shourds, Grant Lewis, Easton Wells, Tuck Sheldon, Beau Sheldon, Sloane V. Sheldon, Shade Sheldon; her siblings Bobbi A. Smith, Roger D. (Becky) McDaniel, Paul L. (Jan) McDaniel, Joe (Vicki) McDaniel.
Funeral Service will be at Noon on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial to follow at Rosehill-Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 4 pm to 7 pm and again on Tuesday from 10 am until the time of the service.
