Mary Estine Walsh, 95, of Owensboro, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2024 at her home. She was born February 2, 1929 in Henderson to the late Augustus Lee and Anna Busby Brown. Mary was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William C. “Bill” Walsh on July 20, 1981; siblings, Pearl Coffman, Magdelene Byrne, Elizabeth Tooley, Bessie Justice, Florence Brown, Russell Brown, Sam Brown, Durwood Brown, Leroy Brown, Gus Brown and Edward Brown; stepsons, William F. “Butch” Walsh and Michael L. Walsh.
She is survived by a son, Paul S. Erwin and wife Lucy, of Magnolia, TX; daughter, Margie Mason and husband Darrell, of Masonville, KY; daughter, Yvonne Hetman and husband Nick, of Philpot, KY; six grandchildren, Britni Jenkins and husband Zach, of Philpot, Lacy Starling and husband Travis, of Liberty Hill, TX, Kyle Hummel of Owensboro, Sarah Mason of Masonville, KY, Elizabeth Broadwell and husband Daniel of Pearland, TX and Jessica Mason of Louisville, KY; 10 great-grandchildren, Hannah Isbill, Everett Isbill, Hunter Jenkins, Kinley Jenkins, Leah Starling, Tanner Starling, Easton Starling, Lillian Starling, Asher Broadwell and Lucy Broadwell; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 14, 2024 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY. Visitation is from 3 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 13th and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, June 14th at the funeral home.

Mary’s family has a heart for adoption and Sacred Selections has funded nearly 500 adoptions in the last twenty years, including one of Mary’s great-grandchildren.
