Eugene Joseph Hinton, Jr. age 60 of Hodgenville, KY passed away June 3, 2024 in Silver City, NM. He was born in Hardinsburg, KY on October 29, 1963, son of the late Eugene Joseph Hinton, Sr. and Mary Agnes Flood Hinton. Junior, as he was known to his family and friends, was employed by Metso as a safety inspector. He was a former Smith Safety Driver Instructor and currently an OSHA and MSA instructor. He was a former Knights of Columbus member. Junior’s goal in life was to make everyone smile, which he did. He never met a stranger and was always there to help, whether it be friend, family or a stranger. He would give his last penny to make someone else’s burdens lighter. He had a great sense of humor and over the top personality and was an all-around good man who loved his family beyond measure.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Nellie Dowell.

Junior is survived by his wife Patricia, who he married on November 22, 1985.

7 grandchildren: Zavier, Moses, Talise, Caleb, Christopher, Michael and Abigail

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Romuald Catholic Church on Monday, June 17, 2024 at 12 PM with burial in the St. Mary of the Woods Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church beginning at 9 AM the day of the service.
