GREENVILLE, KY., Mary Elizabeth Chapman, 78, of Greenville passed away at Heartford House in Owensboro on Tuesday, June 4, 2024. She was born on March 25, 1946 in Greenville the daughter of Tommy and Lovie Boggess Chapman. Mary was a homemaker and a member of Greenville Second Baptist Church. Anyone who met Mary knew how much she cared about others and how much she loved her Lord.
She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters Opal Cotton, Junita Whistler and Alene Crick, and a brother Tommy Chapman.
She is survived by 3 nephews Scott Chapman of Pleasant Prairie, WI., Greg (Jessica) Chapman of East Dundee, IL., and Jewell (Christy) Cotton of Madisonville, several great nieces, great nephews, and many friends to cherish her memory.
Visitation will be on Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 11:00 AM until time of funeral at 1:00 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home. Gary’s Funeral Home of Greenville has been entrusted with the care of Mary Chapman and is in charge of arrangements.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville officiated by Rev. George Thompson and assisted by Rev. Bob Thurman. Burial will follow in Chapman Family Cemetery in Lewisburg, KY.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Second Baptist Church of Greenville.
