Ruth Carole Wells, 7 months, passed away on June 3, 2024, at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. She was born October 13, 2023, to James and Madison McKinney Wells.
Ruth was a fighter even before she was born. She was strong and overcame more in her short time here on Earth than most would in their lifetime. Ruth did things her way and at her own pace. Her smile, though rare, would light up the room and capture the attention of everyone around. Ruth is the definition of a miracle.
Along with her parents, Ruth is survived by her big sister, Nora; grandparents, John (Laura) Wells and Michael (Karen) McKinney; and by a large loving family who adored her.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2024, at St. Stephen Cathedral. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass on Friday, June 7, 2024, at St. Stephen Cathedral.
In honor of Ruth’s memory donations may be made in her name to the National CMV Foundation, P.O. Box 18322, Tampa, FL 33679, and to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Cincinnati, 341 Erkenbrecher Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45229. Envelopes will be available at the church.
