
Patricia Jane Bullivant Cecil, 77, died at her home on May 26, 2024. She was born on March 17, 1947 to Herbert George Bullivant and Margaret Sedlak Bullivant in Newark, New Jersey.
After graduating from high school in New Jersey, she attended Western Kentucky University, where she met and married James Cecil. She spent the next several years caring for their six children in Reynolds Station. She helped build a home, made clothes for her family, canned green beans and tomatoes from the garden, crocheted and knit, and saved every dollar she could along the way. She worked hard on the farm as well as at RiverValley Behavioral Health for many years. She was a board member and dedicated supporter of Joe Ford Nature Center. She was a long-time member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church. She made time always to share her love of the beach, afternoons on the lake, road trips, camping, and car karaoke with her children and beloved grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was patient, helpful, and faithful.
She is survived by her children, Michelle (Mark) Hampton, Loralyn Cecil, Jennifer (Bob) Blankenship, Keith (Jennifer) Cecil, Danielle (Richard) Read, and James (Amanda) Cecil. She is survived by her brother Kenneth (Betty) Bullivant and her twin sister, Phyllis Belanger. She was predeceased by her grandson, Logan Cecil. Twelve beloved grandchildren carry her legacy.
A Funeral Mass will be said on Friday, June 7, 2024, at noon, at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Whitesville, Ky, with a private burial to follow. If you would like to make a gift in her honor, please consider making it to the Joe Ford Nature Center.
