Shirley Darlene Filback, 87, of Horse Branch, Kentucky passed away Saturday, May 26, 2024, with her daughter by her side. She was born September 17, 1936, in Ohio County, Kentucky to the late Marvin Hines and Gurtrude Dugan Hines. Darlene retired from Ohio County High School.
Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by three sons, Harold David Filback, Duane Filback, and Mitchell Filback; two brothers, Kenneth Hines, Carl Hines and sister, Rita Nabours.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, one daughter, Terry Taylor of Beaver Dam; two grandchildren, Robert (Mercedes) Bennett and Seth Taylor; two great grandchildren, Elanor and Theadore Bennett; brother, Billy (Alice) Hines of Horse Branch; two sisters, Linda (Bobby) Wydick of Fishers, Indiana; sister, Imogene (Sam) Johnson of Centertown and a special nephew, Stevie Hines.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 AM Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Rosine Cemetery in Rosine, Kentucky with Rev. Steven Wright officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 AM Thursday at the cemetery.
