
Jeff B. Skinner, 66, of Utica, died on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. He was born October 26, 1952 in Daviess County, KY to the late Joe Ray and Elizabeth Baker Skinner. He retired from Texas Gas after 30 years where he worked as a driller and was a member of Utica Baptist Church. Jeff was a mason at the Utica lodge. He enjoyed swinging in his front yard, being in his shop by his wood burner talking to his buddies and watching UK basketball. He loved cooking catfish in his cooker and being retired, but most of all he loved being with his grandkids and family.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Brenda White; and aunt and uncle, Paula and Randall Ratliff.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Kathie Skinner; daughter, Kitty Skinner of Owensboro; son, Joe Skinner (Melanie) of Owensboro; three grandchildren, Jeffrey Skinner, Sophie Skinner and Liza Skinner; siblings, Tommy Skinner (Darlene) of Summerfield, FL, Amy Brown (Grady) of Ocala, FL and Jimmy Skinner of Summerfield, FL; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tommy Chandler (Linda) of Sturgis, Allen Chandler (Sheri) of Morganfield and Anna Clouse of Owensboro.
Services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 29, 2019 in the chapel at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Utica Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday with Masonic Service at 7 p.m. and after 9 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
