Mary Elizabeth “Elb” Edge, 84, of Owensboro, was reunited with her loving husband, Philip on May 20, 2024, under the care of hospice, surrounded by her family. Elb was a homemaker who often helped her husband on the job, from painting to carrying supplies up the ladder, she was always there to help. She loved her family immensely and the time they spent together. She was a devout Catholic who enjoyed spending time with friends, bingo and Moonlite.
Her parents, Louis and Mary Agnes Hagan, as well as 7 siblings preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, Joe Edge and Gail (Joey) Brothers; her grandchildren, Eric (Hannah) Coon, Chris (Jessica) Edge, Brittny (Preston) Lindsey, Wes (Cora) Edge, Chasity (Chris) Grawburg, Cassie (Justin) Edge and James (Tristan) Edge; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 great -great grandchildren; her brother, Donnie Hagan and sister-in-law Linda Hagan and several nieces and nephews. She was loved and will be missed by her close friends at Garden Grace.
A Funeral Mass will be said on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at noon, at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Whitesville, with burial following at St. Mary of the Woods Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Cecil Funeral Home in Whitesville.
