Mary Rita Miller Hayden, 80, of Owensboro, passed away with her family by her side on May 14, 2024, under the care of hospice. She was born July 26, 1943, in Evansville, Indiana to the late Joseph Allen Miller and Mable Cleo Pickerill Miller. Rita retired from Catholic Pastoral after 19 years as a receptionist and administrative assistant and also worked at Chase Bank for 29 years. She was a member of Sts. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church.
Rita enjoyed quilting and making homemade cards. She always looked forward to spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids and had a strong circle of friends.
Along with her parents, Rita was preceded in death by her brother, Tony Miller, and nephew, Michael Miller.
Surviving include her children, Marvin (Kay) Hayden of Frankfort, KY., Lorie Hayden of Nashville, TN, Lynnette Hayden of Ellenton, FL, and Tony (Toni) Hayden of Marion, IL; grandchildren, Brittney Hayden, Joe (Ashley) Hayden, Hannah (Travis) White, Andrea (Drew) Taylor, Kirsten (Daniel) Hock, Brianna Ingram, Brent (Nala) DeLozier, Tori Hayden, and Faith Hayden; fourteen great-grandchildren, brother, Bob (Liz) Miller of Arizona, and sister-in-law, Bell Miller of Louisville, KY.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 17th, 2024, at Sts. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery.
