Stanley Ray Jewell, 72, of Owensboro, KY, passed away on May 7, 2024. He was born in Daviess County on April 12, 1952, to the late George Samuel and Pauline Virginia (Ford) Jewell.
Stanley worked as a Forklift Driver, at Lee Brick & Block, for over twenty years. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching westerns, horse racing with his sons, spending time with his family, and relaxing with his dog, Josie.
Along with his parents, Stanley is preceded in death by his wife, Jodi Lynn (Sprague) Jewell; his granddaughter, Emily Dawson; and his sisters, Beverly Cooper and Donna Dickens (Hal).
Those left to cherish Stanley’s memory include his children, Larry (Kim) Jewell, Michael (Jeannie) Jewell, Lori (Eddie) English, Mandy (Eric) Jewell, Jeff (Cora) Goetz, and Jennifer (Alan) Ranburger; his grandchildren, Lace, Sydney, Catie, Wesley, Blake, Trace, Connor, Michael, Brett, Beau, Madison, Brooklyn, Carlee, Easton, Sarah, Aaron, Justin, Miranda, Dallas, Sammy, Jonah, Aiden, Connor, and Jolie-Kate; his siblings, Patsy Jewell and Junior (Linda) Jewell; his brother-in-law, Franklin Cooper; his ten great-grandchildren; and his girlfriend, Sue Wells.
Services will be held at 10:00 am, on Friday, May 10, 2024, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory, with Pastor James Craig officiating. Burial will follow at Rosehill-Elmwood Cemetery. The family of Mr. Jewell will welcome guests, during visitation, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home and Crematory, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 9, 2024, and again on Friday, May 10, 2024 from 8:00 am until the time of service. .
