Donald “Donnie” Ray Williams, 65, of Utica, passed away on April 30, 2024, at Twin Rivers Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born on February 19, 1959, to parents Edward and Erma Williams in Fort Hood, Texas.
Donnie worked for Casey’s Rides Inc. for 28 years and was a skilled craftsman and loyal worker. A certified master mechanic and carpenter, he would go wherever his skills were needed. He attended Owensboro High School where he was an all-star softball pitcher. Donnie liked to be active and kept himself busy with bowling, playing pool, and roller skating. “He will be truly missed and never replaced.” -The Greene family.
Donnie is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Erma; siblings, Ronnie Williams, Edward Williams Jr., John Williams, Randy Williams, Sandy Williams, and Anita Smith; as well as his great-grandson, Mateo.
Left to cherish his memory is his children, Shawna Bennett and Kensie Williams; grandchildren, Hunter Henderson, Anna Kate Chandler, Sarah Morris, and Abigail Bennett; and great grandchildren, Ava Rose and Calli Rose.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 1 pm at Legion Park, 3047 Legion Park Drive, Owensboro, KY 42303. Food and refreshments will be provided. Please join his family in honoring Donnie’s life.
