
Janice Puckett, 76, of Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Wellington Parc. She was born November 20, 1947 in Ohio County to the late Gordon and Ethel Bartlett Rhoades. Janice was retired from Wyndall’s Foodland as a bookkeeper and was a member of Walnut Memorial Baptist Church. She had volunteered at a number of places including the Clothes Closet at Owensboro Christian Church. Janice was an avid U.K. basketball fan and was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.
Janice was also preceded in death by her husband, David Puckett on January 9, 2004 and a grandson, Clay Maxwell Rhoades in 1999.
Surviving are a son, Scott Rhoades (Leah) of Lewisport; stepchildren, Tony Riney (Lyn) of Ohio County and Amy Puckett of Bardstown; three grandchildren, Clint Rhoades of Owensboro, Parker and Isaac Rhoades of Lewisport; two stepgrandchildren, Portia Lansdown of Louisville and Celeste Duncan-Shacklette of Indianapolis; and two sisters, Karen Pickerill (Perry) of Owensboro and Kim Campbell of Evansville.
The funeral service for Janice will be Noon Saturday, May 4, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
