Floyd Eugene Pierce, 75, of Owensboro passed away Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital with his family by his side. He was born May 30, 1948 to the late Floyd Earl Pierce and Ethel Barnett Pierce. He retired from Painters Local 156. Floyd enjoyed watching UK Wildcats, NASCAR, fishing, boating and spending time with family and friends at their place at Lake Barkley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Paul William Pierce; infant brother, George; and his beloved Mini Schnauzer, Abby.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Julie Pierce; daughters, Tiffany Tindle (Jeff) and Jennifer Pierce; son, Jay Ratley (Nichole); grandchildren, Evan Tindle, Colin Tindle, Adam Tindle (Seybree), and Addy Ratley; great-granddaughter, Freyja Tindle; sister, Louise Head (Mack Estes); and his feline companion, Minnie.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Owensboro Memorial Gardens Chapel. James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
