ELIZABETHTOWN, KY., Lendal Terry Jones, 73, of Elizabethtown passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024 in Hardin County Baptist Health in Elizabethtown. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 2, 1951 the son of Clifton Jones and Wilma Lear Jones. He had been a Youth Worker for the Department of Juvenile Justice in Elizabethtown, and he was a member of Lilac Road Church of Christ Church in Leitchfield.
He was preceded in death by his father and a son Ronnie Wade Jones.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years Jeanie Alford Jones of Elizabethtown, his mother Wilma Lear Jones of Elizabethtown, 1 son Gary Jones of Leitchfield, 1 stepson Aaron (Julie) Crowder of Leitchfield, 1 stepdaughter Rhonda (Steve) Clemons of Clarkson, 1 brother Derek Jones of San Diego, CA., 4 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, 9 step-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 11:00 AM until time of funeral at 1:00 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home conducted by Bro. Freddie Allen Jones, Jr. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Church Cemetery in Greenville.
