
GREENVILLE – Charlotte Ann Ferguson Dockery, 79, of Greenville, died Monday, April 8, 2024 at 9:38PM at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. Ms. Dockery was born January 11, 1945 in Holden, West Virginia. She was a High School Guidance Counselor for Johnson Central High School in Paintsville, Kentucky, and a member of Greenville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews, going to church, reading the Bible, having small group devotions, and travelling with her husband. She will be remembered as a life-long educator. She walked with God for many years. She will be remembered for her love and devotion to Jesus Christ, her Savior, and for her generosity and kindness to others. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Julia Ferguson; and sister, Terry Maury.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Carl Dockery; step-son, J. Todd Dockery; sister, Holly (Richard) Benningfield; nieces, Julia (Matt) LaHue, Cora (Ken) Criss, Sallie (Paul) Goode, and Amy (Christopher) Hunt; nephews, James Benningfield, Andrew Benningfield; and great-nieces and nephews, Skylar Benningfield, Alanna Benningfield, and Maddex Benningfield.
Funeral services will be Friday, April 12, 2024 at 1PM at Greenville United Methodist Church with Pastor Joe Hester officiating and Pastor Vernon Perdue assisting. Burial in Highland Memory Gardens in Chapmanville, West Virginia on Monday, April 15, 2024 at 11AM. Visitation will be Friday from 10AM -1PM at the church.
