Alice V. Moore, 87, of Owensboro, went home to be with the Lord on April 6, 2024 at Creekwood Nursing Home. She was born January 19, 1937 in McLean County, Kentucky to the late Orah Charles Bartimus and Helen Coin Bartimus. Alice was a homemaker, mother, nurse and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and word games. Alice was a hard worker, having worked at Owensboro-Daviess County Hospital, Hermitage Manor, and after retirement, worked as a private caregiver.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles K. Moore Sr.; and siblings, Charles Bartimus, Orah Bartimus, Jr., Helen Carpenter, Bessie Adair Bartimus, and Geraldine Bartimus.
Survivors include her son, William C. Bartimus; stepson, Kenneth Moore Jr. (Noel); three grandchildren; sister, Ruth Bassett (Jack); brother, Jim Bartimus; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
