
Vickie Lynn Kennedy, 77, of Owensboro, passed away on Good Friday, March 29, 2024. She was the first born in Daviess County on January 1, 1947, to the late Charles and Mary Bernadette Stallings Schooler. Vickie worked in food service for the Diocese of Owensboro/Owensboro Catholic High School cafeteria and retired in 2017. She was a long-time member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and loved spending time with her family. Vickie supported her grandchildren and great-grandchildren by going to watch them in various events, but simply enjoyed her time with them. She also spent time going on walks with her sister, camping and going to the beach. Vickie was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry and brother, Michael Schooler.
She is survived by daughters, Sheri (Mike) Boling and Sonya (Tony) Evans; grandchildren, Brandon Boling, Jordon (Courtney) Boling, Miranda (Josh) Cravens, Kindra (John) Young, Corey Evans, and Saralynn Boling; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Jim (Karen) Schooler and sister, Pam (Charles) Shaver along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with burial following at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday with prayers beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, and from 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
