
Kimberly Kaye Fitzgerald Rowan, 57, of Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 with her family by her side. She was born April 27, 1966 in Owensboro. Kim, a beloved mother, Nana, sister, and friend, peacefully departed from this world after a 20-year battle with brain tumors. Kim leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will be cherished by all who know her.
Family was at the heart of Kim’s world. Kim’s greatest joys in life were her children, grandchildren, and family. She found immense happiness in the laughter and love they shared. In addition to her family, Kim volunteered at soup kitchens, Heartford House Hospice Care, and raised funds for the National Brain Tumor Society. She attended Life Community Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kevin Eugene Rowan; mother, Emma Faye Fitzgerald; and her dogs, Toby and Princess.
Survivors include four children, Alicia Evans (Josh), Cristie Roberts (Chris), Brandon Fitzgerald (Peter), and Jason Fitzgerald (Amy); eight grandchildren, Logan and Landen Evans, Caitlyn and Caleb Roberts, Kaylie and Brennan Fitzgerald, Grace Wathen, and Raelynn Fitzgerald; one great-grandchild, Harper; two sisters, Lisa Fitzgerald (Blake) and Trudy Wilson; two brothers, Mendal Fitzgerald and Donnie Fitzgerald (Lisa); several nieces and nephews; and her dog, Lola.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Sorgho. Visitation is from 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday and from noon until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
