Barbara N. Bolen, 82, of Owensboro, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born July 13, 1941 in Daviess County to the late Allen and Margaret Meadows Roberts. Barbara retired from MPD and was a member of Providence United Methodist Church. She enjoyed working puzzles and drinking coffee with friends at McDonald’s. But most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby and Ronald Roberts.
Survivors include two daughters, Kim Brice (Johnny) and Pam Allen; son, James Keith “J.K.” Allen (Kelly); grandchildren, Braxton, Laci, Jackson, Vanessa and Valerie; brother, Larry Roberts; sister, Wanda Roberts; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at noon on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
