
GREENVILLE, KY., David Winn, 72, of Greenville passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Greenville on September 22, 1951 the son of B. J. Winn and Martha Nell Fitzhugh Winn. He was of the Baptist faith and was a UMWA coal miner. He retired from Ray Jones Trucking. He loved working on cars, especially his ’36 Coupe, and drag racing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Stephen Michael Winn, and his father-in-law Delbert Chandler.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years Sharon Chandler Winn of Greenville, a sister Cindy (Jim) Yocum of Birmingham, AL., mother-in-law Cora Mae Chandler of Greenville, a niece Kristi (Wayne) Lipson of Memphis, TN., a nephew Brooks (Audra) Beeckman of Henderson, 5 great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 26, 2024 from 10:00 AM until time of funeral at 2:00 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 26, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. J. W. Haire, assisted by Rev. Charlie Jones. Burial will follow in Olive Grove Cemetery in Greenville.
