
Richard Dwayne Casey, 76, of Owensboro, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2024 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born December 2, 1947 in Daviess County to the late Audra Richard Casey and Opal Peach Casey. Richard retired from White Service Company and was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sandra Corley Casey; second wife, Alice Jones Casey; daughter, Amy Mae Blandford; brothers, Terry Casey and Jack Casey; sister-in-law, Linda Casey; granddaughter, Gabriella Joy; and a great-grandchild, Baby C.
Survivors include his children, Danny Casey (Laura), Tommy Casey, Shelly Means (Chris), and Waylon Hurt (Rachell); grandchildren, Mason and Logan Hamilton, Kyle and Cameron Casey, Zachary Taylor (Mackenzie), Drew Blandford (Faith), J.T. Bratcher (Britini), Karissa Wedding (Jamon), Tyler Means (Brittney), and Maggie and Bella Hurt; great-grandchildren, Annie, Ellie, Milo, Dax, Oliver, Vivian, Toby, Elliot, Ezra, Everett, Kordon, Parker, Hadley, Emmett, Shelby, Alli, Leena, and Hayden; sisters, Sharron Cline and Jeannie Casey; brother-in-law, Junie Corley; sister-in-law, Patty Elder; best friend, Joyce King; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at noon on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery with military honors. Visitation is from 3 to 7 on Tuesday and from 10 a.m. until time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
