James “Tim” Trotter, 65, of Owensboro passed away under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born in Owensboro on September 16, 1958, to Mildred Ann Marler Trotter and the late James Edward Trotter. He previously worked for the City of Nashville in the Metro Parks Department. He is a member of Masonville Baptist Church. Tim loved all things car racing, especially NASCAR, and enjoyed watching the air shows and getting to see the Blue Angels. He liked to build model cars and airplanes and fish in the Gulf. Tim liked to watch scary movies with his little sister and had a love for music from the 70’s and 80’s and anything University of Kentucky sports.
Along with his father, James he is preceded in death by his son Cole Trotter.
Tim is survived by his mother, Mildred Trotter; his sister Tina (Martin) Bickwermert; his nieces Miranda (Greg) McKee and Kalynn (Logan) Rice; and his good friend Donald Shelton and family.
Services will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, February 23, 2024, with Military Honors following, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
