James Vernon Boone, 85, of Reynolds Station, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at his home. He was born in McLean County on April 11, 1938, to the late James Harry and Margaret Boone.
James retired from Alcoa after 30 years of dedicated work.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 29 years, Agnes B. Gibson Boone; and siblings, Mack and Shirlene Boone.
James is survived by his children, Misty (Kirk) Martin of Evansville and Todd (Pam) Boone of Owensboro; brothers, Jackie (Lydie) Boone of Owensboro and Ricky (Sharon) Boone of Beaver Dam; sisters, Darlene (George) Geotz of Philpot ans Sheila Tichenor Hayden of Hartford; grandchildren, Cadie (Jonathan) Goodwin of Reynolds Station, Lexie (Garrett) Underwood of Owensboro, Ryan Boone of Owensboro, Trey Williams of Owensboro, Kenzie Williams of Owensboro, and Josh (Carlene) Hartwick of Owensboro; and great grandchildren, Nyah Washington, Phoenix Hartwick, Jaxon Goodwin, Wyatt Heltsley, Waylon Heltsley, Levi Underwood, and Liam Underwood.
Service will be private with care entrusted to Cardinal Cremation Society.
