Hartford- Billie Jean Kuykendall Smith, 81, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at OHRH in Owensboro. She was born on January 12, 1943 to the late Lawrence and Maggie Edwards Kuykendall.
Billie was retired but had been a medical assistant at Ohio County Hospital and King’s Home Health for several years. She was a member of the Hartford Christian Church and loved to read. She also loved going to church, being with family (especially grand and great grand kids). She loved going to Cracker Barrel and loved her dog Isabella.
Billie was also preceded in death by her daughter Diana Lynn Smith; great granddaughter Sophia Marie Link; sisters Wanda Burdin, Mary Lou Cook and Betty Sue Ramsey.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, William D. Smith; son Scott Smith; daughters Sherry Smith and Holli Smith; grandchildren Tetitia Smith, Jessica Pegago, Derrick Smith(Amber), and Beau Pegago(Heather) great grandchildren Nevaeh Wilson, Madison Ralph, Emily Ralph, Zander Smith, Lily Ralph, Braelyn Link, Bryson Pegago and Harper Smith; sister Lorena King.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Scott Parker officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford.
