
CENTRAL CITY- David Wynne Durham, 59, of Central City died Saturday, January 27, 2024 at his residence. Mr. Durham was born in Muhlenberg County on December 21, 1964. David enjoyed working on cars at a very young age. After graduating from Central City High School he attended Madisonville Community Vocational School for Mechanics where he began his career at Parham’s Motor Company. He then went on to become Shop Foreman for two other dealerships before he went to the Muhlenberg County Board of Education where he worked his way up from Lead Mechanic to Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor and then to Transportation Director. David then moved to Hopkins County Board of Education to finish out his career. He is preceded in death by his father, Joe Durham; mother, Mamie Nell Wynne-Durham; father-in-law, Richard Noffsinger.
Surviving family include his Wife of 37 Years, Terri Durham; sister, Jennie (Doug) Shaver of Owensboro, Jo Nell (Gene Ray) Stewart of Central City; mother-in-law, Judi Noffsinger; brother and sister in law, Brent (Stephanie) Noffsinger; nephews, Chris (Stephanie) Shaver of Owensboro, Jacob (Hollie) Noffsinger, Mason (Kaylea) Noffsinger; nieces, Dr. Kimberly Shain of Murfreesboro; great nephews, Hunter (Haley) Shaver of Murfreesboro, Jack Shain of Murfreesboro; great niece, Hadley Shaver of Lexington, KY, and Libby Faith Noffsinger; great-great nephew, Banks Shaver.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Fairmount Cemetery with Bro. Terry Chaney officiating. Tucker Funeral Home in Central City is in charge of arrangements.
