Owensboro- Brenda Sue (Brown) Phillips, 75, formerly of Centertown, passed away at her home in Owensboro on January 21, 2024. She was born on June 22, 1948, daughter of the late Rodney D. and Margaret Ethel (Grant) Brown.
Brenda was a homemaker, a member of Waltons Creek Baptist Church and a member of AARP. She loved her family, especially those grandbabies. She also loved quilting, traveling in their RV and shopping.
She was preceded by her infant brother, Bobby Jo Brown; her husband Larry Mitchell Phillips and grandson Zackary Allyn.
Survivors include her son David Eric Hazelip; 2 daughters Melissa Lynn O’Bryan and Heather Karynn (Matthew) Allyn; grandchildren Bradley (Ashlee) Welch, Dylan Amber) Welch, Jeremy (Elizebeth) Hazelip, Grant Allyn, Amber Allyn and Alaina Allyn; 9 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 25, 2024 , at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Shockley officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. Thursday until 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
