HARTFORD-Donald Ray Smith, 74, died Sunday, January 14, 2024 at his home. Donald was born in Muhlenberg County, KY to the late Floyd William “Brown” and Mildred D. Drake Smith. He was retired from Envision Contracting and served in the U.S. Navy. Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing and tending to his chickens. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Sue Edmonds and Esther O’Dell Smith and a brother, Tony Smith.
Survivors include his wife Pam Vincent Smith; 2 sons, Darrel Smith(Kechia) and Doug Smith; 4 brothers, Jerry W. Smith(Mildred), William Lester “Bubby” Smith(Wilma), Lowell “Doodle” Smith and Scotty Smith(Beth); 3 sisters, Kay Wilkerson(Ray), Laura Crafton and Dee Dee Edmonds Whittaker(Johnny); 4 grandchildren, Alyssa Smith, Kayla Smith, Daxton Smith and Jason Smith.
Services are 3PM Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Marty Bowlds officiating. Visitation will be from 11AM until funeral time at the funeral home. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Ohio County or Gideons International. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
