William ‘Bill’ Howard Eidson, 74, of Owensboro, passed away peacefully in his home on January 11, 2024. He was born on November 21, 1949, in Daviess County, Kentucky to the late Howard Upton and Marie Russ Eidson. Bill retired from WBKR where he worked for many years in sales.
Bill was an outdoorsman. He loved traveling to Florida, fishing, and family. Bill was of the Christian faith and was a very spiritual man. He was loving and had an unrivaled wit.
Bill is survived by his sister, Jean Eidson (David) Yewell; nieces and nephews, Jason (Mary Kay) Yewell and Emily (Curtis) Yewell Volin; great-nieces and nephews, Yewell Volin, Vera Volin, and Grant Yewell; and beloved friends, Valorie, Alex, and Vera Simmons. Also surviving is his extended work family.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of charitable donations made to Hospice of Western Kentucky, 3419 Wathens Crossing Owensboro, KY 42301, and/ or St. Joseph’s Peace Mission, 1328 W 3rd Street Owensboro, KY 42301.
