GREENVILLE, KY., William Michael Simpkins, 74, of Greenville passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at the Heartford House of Owensboro. He was born in Nashville, TN on July 18, 1949 to the late William Woodrow Simpkins and Mary Lois Demonbreun. He was a retired truck driver and worked for Crestline Plastics. He loved shooting guns and riding motorcycles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Sandra Binkley, and a grandson Ken Crossland.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years Linda Simpkins of Greenville, 2 Daughters Rhonda (Kenny) Crossland of Ashland City, TN and Jenni (Larry) Shadowen of Owensboro, 3 Grandchildren Hayley Crossland, Tabor Shadowen, and Lexi Shadowen, 2 Great Grandchildren Knox Crossland and Aubriella Crossland, 3 sisters Connie (Keith) Thomas of Mount Washington, Peggy (Kemmy) Shores of Ashland City, TN., and Vicky (Gary) Williams of Ashland City, TN.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 and on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 from 9:00 AM until time of service at Gary’s Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Gary’s Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Shadowen and assisted by Mr. Chris Rowe. Burial will follow in White Oak Cemetery in Clay Kentucky. Gary’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
