Mary Cecille Raley Rice, 70, of Hartford, Kentucky passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024, in Owensboro, Kentucky. She was born January 22, 1953, in Ohio County, Kentucky to the late Searcy Fielden Raley and Ruth James Whitehead Raley. Mary was a member of Horse Branch Church of God. She loved UK basketball but most of all her family.
Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Searcy Frederick “Fred” Raley, and three sisters, Barbara Ruth Raley Mitchell, Marsha Jewell Raley Reeve, and Darya Dawn Raley Spencer.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, three sons, Aaron David (Cayce) Messer of Owensboro, Clint Martin Messer (Holly) of Hartford, and Dereck Lane Moses Messer of Cromwell; four grandchildren, Adam Garrett Messer, Raley Lane Moses Messer, Garrison Shane Martin Messer, and Adalee Mae Messer; two brothers, David Russell Raley of Horse Branch and Paul Elliott Raley of Horse Branch and a sister, Jillianee Karen Raley (Ray) Alingh of Mt. Pleasant.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Thursday, January 11, 2024, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Bro. Marvin Dodson officiating. Friends may visit with Mary’s family from 10 AM until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home.
