Also known as “Husky” and “JD”, Jimmie was a 1973 graduate of Owensboro High School. He was a Master HVAC contractor and had worked for Schwartz Heating and Cooling, Montgomery-Webb Heating and Cooling, and Harry Roberts Plumbing, Heating and Cooling. He may be remembered best from his assistant manager position at the Big Blue Store on Carter Road.

Jimmie was raised and baptized in the Baptist church. Jimmie loved animals and he had tamed a squirrel named Stubby to eat out of his hand. Stubby returned every spring for her treats. He had many pet companions throughout his life, most recently, Minnie Pearl, Ruby, and the late Rusty Nails, R.I.P. A naturalist at heart, Jimmie loved the great outdoors and said this is where he felt closest to God. He enjoyed recent road trips with Randy Boone and others as they traveled to 30 states. He also leaves behind good friends Stirman Libs and Steve Hardesty.
