Karen B. Frashure 80, Karen Brooks Frashure 80 of Calhoun went home to be with the lord on December 31, 2023 at her home. Karen Brooks was born August 15, 1943 in Calhoun, Kentucky to the late Robert Oather and Golda Love Brooks and was married to Ray Frashure on November 14, 1969. Karen retired from the State of Kentucky, Social Services in Owensboro after working 34 years. She was a member of the former Oak Grove United Methodist Church. She enjoyed watching game shows and spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her husband Ray Frashure, her sister Patricia Alms and step daughter Sherry Morgan.
Survivors include two sons, Dwight Brooks (Julie) of Fairview Heights, Illinois, Brian Brooks (Cherie) of Owensboro and a daughter Kim Smith of Calhoun and a nephew Scott Brooks (Karen) of Indiana; 13 Grandchildren, several great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with Dr. Richard Sams officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in McLean County. Friends and Family may visit with Karen’s family from 9:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Friday at Muster’s in Calhoun.
