
Marsha Lynn Stevens, affectionately known as Lynn to her family and friends, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2023, at the age of 64. Born on September 10, 1959, in Madisonville, Kentucky, Lynn grew up in a close-knit community that shaped the warm and creative person she became. Her final days were spent surrounded by her loving family in Lexington, Kentucky, after a courageous battle with ALS.
Lynn was the cherished spouse of Dale Stevens, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and the joy of raising their two children, Ashton and Matt Stevens. Her role as a mother was one of the greatest joys of her life, and she instilled in her children the values of kindness, perseverance, and the importance of family. Lynn’s legacy continues to live on through her seven adored grandchildren – Lauren, Lindsey, Rico, Cherish, Amiyah, Gianna, and Marlee – each of whom she loved deeply and took great pride in. The daughter of Tom Corum and his wife Shirlene, and Mother, Lela Corum. Lynn was a beacon of strength and inspiration within her family. She shared an unbreakable bond with her brother, Dan Corum, and his wife Michelle, and together they created countless cherished memories that will be treasured forever.
Lynn’s pursuit of education led her to achieve an Associate’s degree in fashion design, a field where she could express her creativity and keen eye for beauty. Her professional life was marked by her tenure at Don Jacobs, where she was respected by her colleagues and clients alike for her integrity, dedication, and warmth. Retirement allowed Lynn to explore her many interests, particularly her love for crafts. She had a remarkable talent for transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary, from redoing furniture to painting canvases that reflected her vibrant spirit. Lynn’s creativity was not just a hobby but a way of life that brought joy to all who were fortunate enough to witness it. Throughout her life, Lynn was known for her generous heart and her ability to light up a room with her presence. Her infectious laugh and genuine interest in others made her a beloved figure in her community. She had the unique ability to make each person feel special, heard, and valued, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she met.
As we say goodbye to Marsha Lynn Stevens, we celebrate the remarkable woman she was and the beautiful life she led. Her spirit, teachings, and love will continue to guide her family and all who knew her.
