Marilyn Sue Logsdon, age 83, of Lewisport, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Friday, December 29, 2023 under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born in Owensboro on December 23, 1940 to the late Harry and Alice Coultas. Marilyn was a graduate of Lewisport High School and attended Murray State University. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was of the Methodist Faith and attended New Chapel United Methodist Church, where she was treasurer for 40 plus years. Marilyn was a homemaker and loved substitute teaching. She enjoyed gardening, scrapbooking, quilting, NASCAR and anything related to her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Hubie Howard.
Marilyn is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Herman Logsdon; children, Derek (Laura) Logsdon, Melinda Preuss and Michele (Rick) Jones; grandchildren, Corey (Mindy) Jones, Kyle (Maeve) Preuss, Stephen (Taylor) Logsdon, Jayden (Lexie) Jones, Colin (Shelby) Jones, Ryan Preuss and Kristin (Steven) Standafer; great grandchildren, Alec Jones, Riley Jones, Autumn Jones, Reese Logsdon, Reed Logsdon, Luna Preuss and Henry Jones; sisters, Janice Howard and Denise (Bill) Curl along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
