Ronald L. Simpson, 61, of Lewisport, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in Owensboro, Ky on August 8, 1962 to the late James H. and Sharon L. Sutherlin Simpson. Ron enjoyed his time with family and especially his grandchildren. He was a fan of NASCAR, the Masked Singer and Westerns movies and TV shows. Ron also enjoyed farming with his sons and shooting guns. He was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Wayne Simpson.
Ron is survived by his children RJ (Sue) Simpson, Nick (Megan) Simpson, Wendy (Matthew) Massie and Amber (Matthew Shelton) Simpson; grandchildren, Ryan, Peyton, McKenzie, Allie, Jase, Corinne, Mollie, Evelyn and Cambron; siblings, Brandi Clouse and Jim (Kelli) Simpson, JR; companion, Peggy Krahwinkel; 4 legged friends, Tucker, Penny, Timmy and Willow.
Services will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Lewisport Chapel with burial following in Henderson Cemetery. Ronald’s family will be greeting friends on Thursday at the funeral home from 10 am until service time.
