Marjorie Lee Payne, 85, of Owensboro passed away at her home on December 25, 2023. Marjorie was born on August 11, 1938 in Ohio County to the late Omer L. and Elzora Snyder Payne. She loved living at the Roosevelt house where she met a lot of friends. She enjoyed watching westerns, drinking coffee, her cigarettes and her mountain dew. Marjorie loved all she encountered, especially her family and friends. Marjorie was a very caring and giving person. She always said “I always love my nieces and nephews and the great ones, too. I sure had a lot”
In addition to her parents, Marjorie is preceded in death by her husband, Noel “Red” Musick and brothers, Charles “Dee”, Irlan, Gerald, Virgil, Wilsie, and sister, Olda Mae.
Marjorie is survived by her granddaughter, LeAnne Musick, great granddaughter Jada Prater, a sister, Deloris Wells and many nieces and nephews, including the special nieces and nephews that helped take care of her, Sherri McGary, Charles “Chuck” Payne, and Jeff Wells.
Visitation will be at Cecil Funeral Home on Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with family sharing at 6:00 p.m.
